  • Overview of Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) Act 2017 laws

  • Employer vs. employee responsibilities

  • Case examples of compliance and non-compliance

 

Module 3: Hazard Identification & Risk Control 

  • Common workplace hazards (physical, chemical, biological, psychosocial)

  • Risk assessment principles (likelihood × severity)

  • Applying the hierarchy of controls in practical settings

Activity: Hazard spotting exercise

 

Module 4: Incident Management & Emergency Response 

  • Reporting and documentation of accidents, near misses, and unsafe acts

  • Basics of root cause analysis

  •  Emergency response roles (fire, medical, chemical incidents

Activity: Tabletop emergency scenario simulation

 

Module 5: Leadership in Safety & Culture Building 

  • Leading by example and enforcing accountability

  • Motivating staff and encouraging hazard/incident reporting

  • Techniques for handling resistance to safety rules

Activity: Role-play on handling unsafe behavior

 

Module 6: Review & Action Planning 

  • Recap of key principles

  • Personal action plan: “3 changes I will make as a safety leader”

  • Q&A and course evaluation
